Clafoutis

A delicious, fruity, plant-based dessert that's naturally sweetened and perfect for any occasion!

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • 8-inch silicone pan

Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries
  • 3 large very ripe bananas
  • 10 ounces about 1 cup fruit-sweetened jam store-bought or Chia Jam
  • 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1 tsp aluminum- and sodium-free baking powder
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ cup unsweetened plant milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Slice fruit and mix well with jam.
  • Place in an 8-inch silicone pan.
  • Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl and place evenly over the fruit.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter clafoutis, you can substitute unsweetened apple juice for the plant milk. This will add a touch of extra sweetness to the dish.
  • Feel free to experiment with different fruits! Peaches, plums, nectarines, or cherries would all work beautifully in place of the strawberries.
