Hi Friends,
It’s been a whirlwind! We got home very late Sunday night after a wonderful 8 days at TrueNorth, and then had only 3 days to rehearse our comedy and get ready for Vegas. For the amount of time we spent working on our 10-minute sets, you’d think we were appearing in a Shakespeare production on Broadway.
Somehow, I still managed to sneak in two live shows and a cardiac stress test before leaving for Vegas on Thursday morning. The hardest part was leaving Shiloh with the babysitter. We only adopted him 2 months ago, and already I’ve been gone for 3 weeks (oy, the Jewish mother guilt).
Health Update
On the health front, all my numbers looked good this week. I am, however, dealing with a very painful condition that may be caused by Keytruda. My oncology team thought it best that I go on oral steroids for a while, which has dialed down the pain (except when I breathe! 😂).
A Magical Night
Next week I’ll give you a detailed report of the conference, but today I want to share one magical night we had before the Plant Powered Party began. On Thursday, a group of us went to Daikon Vegan Sushi.

And then to see The Wizard of Oz Reimagined at the world-famous Sphere. If Benji does this conference again next year (and hopefully asks me back to host ), I hope you’ll join us and experience both of these incredible places.

Love & Kale, Chef AJ.
