Smoky Butternut Bisque
This Smoky Butternut Bisque is a creamy, dairy-free, and flavorful soup that’s perfect for any time of year. It’s easy to make, nutritious, and packed with delicious smoky goodness!

- 2 pounds butternut squash peeled and cubed
- 10 ounces chopped onions about 3 cups
- 6 cloves garlic
- 3 cups water
- 4 pear halves
- ¼ cup gluten-free oats
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- ½ tbsp Benson’s Table Tasty or your favorite salt-free seasoning
- ⅛ tsp chipotle chili powder or more to taste
- 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
Sauté the onion in a small amount of water in the Instant Pot before adding the rest of the ingredients. Use the Sauté setting and cook until translucent and slightly browned for added flavor.
Place all ingredients except for the non-dairy milk in the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.
Release the pressure and add the non-dairy milk.
Purée the bisque with an immersion blender right in the pot. If you do not have an immersion blender, carefully transfer the bisque to a blender to purée it.
